In view of the current public health crises, Chandigarh Bird Club has decided to cancel all field trips and physical meeting for the time being. However, to keep our members engaged, the club has started new home birding project.
Members of the club will be asked to observe the species of birds and their behaviour on a particular tree or a water bath. This can be done over a period of time. Such a record will be helpful in understanding these species.
Club Members will select a tree or a water bath.
Through this project, we will be able to develop a record of the species visiting in particular areas of the ISCR. It is also the best time of the year as summer migrants are on their way.
Please join in this project and make it successful.

excellent idea! i’ve been observing a Eucalyptus tree in front of my house for last 10 years a pair of crows nest every year, unfortunately they won’t as the tree has been cut brutally only main trunk is left. Still it’s better, tree had shown new life with new leaves and hopefully the crows will come back to their old habitat.

I also have a mulberry tree in my park on which I have already written an article, it arrives numerous species including all the common, and uncommon bird too like common starting, jungle mynas, grey wagtail, Indian paradise Flycatcher and many more. This shows that nature is our at doorstep only as if knocking at our doors that’s why we don’t have to you go very far distances. Thankyou!!…
