The number of species and the count for Sukhna Lake has both decreased since last February, when 734 waterfowl with 28 species were recorded. However, since we do not have a conclusive data for Motemajra, Dhanas, and Ghaggar River, we cannot ascertain whether the number has decreased or increased. But, it is concerning that the number for Sukhna Lake, which used to around 4200 in March 2017, is now just 368.
